With your donations toward this fund, we hope to build a church close to the Paul School for the Blind in Bo, Sierra Leone! The love of Christ instills peace and hope to all who believe in Him for salvation. To some, Sierra Leone appears far from the hand of God. Yet, I have never seen more genuinely happy people than those with Christ’s joy in their hearts in Bo, Sierra Leone! Watch the video below of Mohamed Jonjo reciting Bible verses from memory!
We hope to reach not only the children at the Blind School but also the people in the surrounding community. We hope to teach the children to become ministers if they so choose, so they can return to their homes in other parts of Africa and tell others of their Joy in Christ.
Our goals with this church include:
- Providing employment opportunities at the church
- Providing transport to and from the church and the Blind School
- Purchasing instruments for worship music
- Teaching visually impaired children how to play music
- Teaching the children to become ministers if they would like
- Promoting that a portion of the church’s tithes will go toward the Paul School for the Blind
Pastor Peter leads Bible studies for the children at the Paul School for the Blind. His sister owns land in the heart of Bo, and his uncle is an architect and construction worker. Pastor Peter’s uncle designed the church vision in the pictures below, and he will head up construction of the new church. The new church will include a kitchen, sanctuary, and a few small living spaces for new pastors in training.
