This cost includes a laundry system and a shower system. A new laundry system is necessary for the children’s cleanliness and sanitation at the Paul School for the Blind in Bo, Sierra Leone. Many of the children who attend the school are orphans, and they live at the school. Most of the children are young and wet their beds on an occasion. Without the resources needed to properly clean their sheets and clothes, the children are subject to bed bugs and other diseases. With a new laundry system, the children will be cleaner and healthier! A new shower system will protect the children’s privacy and encourage cleanliness. Currently, the children wash themselves in the courtyard with a bucket. They do not have any plumbing features necessary to rinse off the sweat and dirt they’ve acquired over the days.
